Birthday Bash 2012

Had a really fun night last Friday with friends and family celebrating my birthday.  Feels great to celebrate life with the people you love and care for.  Great times!!!!

Maybe you think you are exercising to DISAPPEAR OR TO LOSE....

to lose stomach fat, to lose arm fat, to lose the triple chin, to lose the inches of your waist, to lose the lack of self-control, to lose poor health, to lose poor self image or confidence, etc.

 

I am challenging that...  Let us realize and internalize that we are not exercising to lose.... WE ARE EXERCISING TO GAIN

 

We are exercising

to GAIN self-control

to GAIN discipline

to GAIN hope

to GAIN strength

to GAIN endurance

to GAIN self confidence and self love

to GAIN patience with ourselves and our weaknesses

to GAIN understanding of one another in our own weaknesses

to GAIN trust in ourselves and others

to GAIN muscle

to GAIN health

 

We are not doing this to disappear (physically, emotionally, mentally or even spiritually)..... WE ARE DOING THIS TO BE FOUND.

 

THEREFORE, WE WILL FIND EACH OTHER TOMORROW, SATURDAY JANUARY 7TH, 2012 FOR OUR 3RD WORK-OUT DAY AT 12:30PM SHARP IN FOREST PARK.

 

 

I want this for myself AND I want this for you.  If I find myself, it does not mean the same if are not with me on this journey. I hope to find you tomorrow.

Loving this months Mens Health Issue. A New Year A New Me. Leaving old bad habits behind. Moving forward and with God's help this is going to be a GREAT year.

So me and a group of friends are meeting up a few times a week to exercise outdoors... Not the most pleasant and easiest thing to do with a 20 Degree temperature so we decided to create a support system.    Every week there's a leader assigned to inspire the crew.  This was the email sent by this weeks leader (Jocelyn)...

REASONS WHY YOU SHOULD BE AT FOREST PARK TOMORROW AT 8PM SHARP FOR STRETCHING:

- WEDDINGS IN JUST 3 MONTHS ... AND YOU WANT TO LOOK GOOD FOR THOSE PICTURES AND YOU WANT PEOPLE COMPLIMENTING YOU ALL NIGHT TELLING YOU HOW GOOD YOU LOOK!!! 

- SUMMER BEING ONLY 4 MONTHS AWAY... AND YOU WANT TO BE ABLE TO GO TO THE BEACH AND NOT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT WHO IS LOOKING AT YOU

- BETTER HEALTH FOR YOURSELF... WE AREN'T GETTING YOUNGER

- FITNESS ... YOU WANT TO BE IN THE NEXT CROSSFIT GAMES! 

- THE CHALLENGE...YOU WANT TO RUN A HALF MARATHON AND CROSS IT OFF OF YOUR BUCKET LIST!!!

- TO LOOK BETTER ... YOU WANT TO BE ABLE TO FIT INTO THOSE JEANS WITHOUT HAVING YOUR STOMACH GET IN THE WAY 

- SUMMER BEING ONLY 4 MONTHS AWAY ... =D ...

- THE FACT THAT DENNIS WILL MAKE YOUR LIFE A LIVING HELL IF YOU BACK OUT NOW....JUST SAYING, THINK ABOUT IT!

- KNOWING THAT EVERYONE YOU LOVE HAS LOST 20 POUNDS AND HAS A 10-PACK AND YOU ARE THE SAME

REASONS WHY YOU MIGHT CONSIDER BACKING OUT TOMORROW:

- WORK AND/OR SCHOOL SUCK THE LIFE OUT OF YOU

- YOUR THIGHS AND BUTT TELL YOU THAT THEY ARE TOO TIRED

- MOTHER NATURE WILL SHOW YOU HOW MAD SHE IS AT YOU BY MAKING IT 10 DEGREES OUTSIDE

- YOUR WIFE/HUSBAND/GIRLFRIEND/BOYFRIEND WILL TRY TO SEDUCE YOU TO STAY HOME KEEPING THEM WARM

- THE CHEESEBURGER YOU HAD FOR LUNCH WILL TELL YOU THAT HE IS NOT GOING ANYWHERE ANY TIME SOON

- BECAUSE MONDAY NIGHT WAS FUN AND WE LAUGHED SO MUCH

- BECAUSE YOUR WIFE/HUSBAND/GIRLFRIEND/BOYFRIEND WILL WANT YOU EVEN MORE ONCE EVERY OTHER WOMAN/MAN WANTS YOU  =P

- BECAUSE YOU DESERVE TO BE A BETTER YOU

Christmas with the Family 2011

Had such an amazing time last night at my sisters's house in CT.  Celebrated Christmas with the entire family.  It felt really good to spend some great quality time with the ones I love.  The food was amazing and even had a couple of Dos X.  

Of course, my mother did this thing where she spoke about how much she loved every single member of the family.  (def. a mother thing to do lol)

This Fedex guy is crazy! LOL But than again, I see this happening all the time. People, appreciate your jobs. The way the economy is right now you should be glad you have a job.
